It was a normal day, or so the stallion thought.
Spring had spread it’s fingers across the lands, breathing new life and making love blossom. Birdies chirped high in the trees, singing songs of love to one another. They darted down to the ground, diving at small twigs and sprigs of grass, and they ascending once more to weave those things into their growing nests.
The stallion was enjoying just another day in Idalis, his beautiful home in Sheraga. His land had a variety of terrain and features, from small sparkling ponds to flat meadows sprinkled with flowers to blossoming orchards of apple trees. As it was, he was in his favorite place in all his land, the magnificent apple orchards.
This time of year they were lush and green, viney limbs stretching down daintily, not yet bearing the burden of fruit. The fragrant pearly blossoms would soon be replaced by the seeds of fruit, but that would be later into the seasons.
Stallion swept across the grassy plain, weaving in and out of the tree trunks as the cheerful sun peeked through the jade spackled boughs. It danced across his sleek coat, making him shine like a finely polished jewel. He never grew much of a winter coat, and what little he did grow shed out within the first days of warm weather. He was already shed out, though his coat would continue to grow sleeker as the season grew warmer.
He was a dark hue, not pure black, but from a distance easily mistaken for it. A trail of white marked his face, and both hid hooves were capped in the same ivory hue. Aside from his incredibly thick mane, he appeared almost normal. Almost no one ever noticed the dew claws that grew from his fetlocks, and he often forgot their presence himself.
The stallion sighed, happily. He took in a breath of the fresh air and settled himself beneath one of the great trees. He was joyful, almost always in a good mood, but lately something had been missing. Since he’d claimed the land, he’d had visits from few, and had yet to add anyone to his herd. He longed for the company of another, and his thoughts and dreams soon lured him off into a light sleep.

Spring it was a time for love to flourish, it was a time of new life. Birds sang there songs all around her, diving and weaving there nest for the family to come. The dark mare was simply walking threw the lands, of the Sheraga. The smell of sweet blooms had lured her to one land in particular, she did not know the name nor who owned the lands but she would find out soon enough. Her harks were a site to behold one being flopped and the other only the tip was flopped, she shook her crown and moved threw the trees, stopping to smell the blooms before continuing on to the next.
Her emerald orbs held an excited glint as she caught scent of another equine, he most have been the owner of these fine lands but she was not in a big hurry to get to him. Cherilyn was carful about how she moved threw the lands, not wanting to draw attention to herself, she giggled with glee as she stopped behind a tree, her rump sticking out on one side her crown lifted up into the trees looking at all the blossoms that would in later season turn to fruit.
Her ebony tail flicked across her flanks as she moved on, not watching were she was going, no that would be a stupid idea and she was much to in aw with the lands, that she did not see the stallion at the end and ran straight into him, she backed and looked down. Im sorry she spoke softly and glanced up at him, he was not bad looking and it seemed as though he had been sleeping moments ago but her carelessness had woken him up, im sorry I woke you up from your nap, im Cherilyn by the way. Her voice was like honey sweet and nothing less, she finally got up enough courage to look him in the eye, she flashed him a smile and waited.

As easily as he’d fallen asleep, he woke. Something had entered his senses that had startled him out of his sleep, and as his eyes adjusted to the light, his golden topaz orbs swept across the terrain of the orchards. His harks pricked and nostrils flared, searching for anything that would clue him in.
He wasn’t sure whether he saw her or smelled her first, but he was certain he hadn’t heard her. A mare was approaching him. In fact, she was quite close. Only moments later, she spoke to him, immediately stating her regret for waking him.
Dark pillars stretched out and heaved himself into a standing position, and then he stepped out from beneath the tree that had sheltered his nap. He offered her a smile, though she wouldn’t look into his eyes, so she probably didn’t notice. She spoke again, this time stating her name.
As his topaz pools studied her, he took in her dark coat color, similar to his own. She was about the same size as him, and had a similar build. He was a little stockier, but only just so. For the most part, they appeared quite evenly matched I appearance.
And then, he spoke. Hello, miss. I’m Telespohoros. No need for apologies, I shouldn’t have drifted off in the first place. He offered her another smile as her gaze met his, his own golden opts glittering with pleasure. He couldn’t help himself, for she was a mare, and a pretty one at that.
It was as if his pleas had been answered during his dream. At least, he hoped it was that and not that he was still dreaming. He flicked his tail and stomped his hoof against the ground, trying to assure himself that he wasn’t dreaming. The moment seemed very real indeed, so he decided it must be. Even if it was a dream, there was no harm in enjoying the company of another when he’d just been feeling so lonely a time before.
His gaze darted to the skies, trying to gauge how long he’d slept. Not even an hour, he figured, so he knew she probably hadn’t been anywhere nearby when he’d fallen asleep. This reassured him, at least he hadn’t failed to notice her presence before he drifted off to slumber.

She nodded and well took the chance to study him, he was like her in color, same size but his build was a little heavier, which was stocky in her vocabulary. She shifted nervously and ears flicked towards him, it was in an odd sort of way but one eventually got use to them. She settled when his friendly tone hit her harks, even as much as to prop a hoof and lower her crown a little. Her body language spoke of ease and relaxation, her muscles were not tense at the slightest. She was actually enjoying his company, she was actually happy she had somebody to talk to it had been awhile sense she has spoke to another such as herself. Cherilyn was actually holding eye contact with him, her emerald orbs locked onto his golden colored ones, oh that was another difference.
Sorry that I came onto your land uninvited, I was just attracted to the beauty of the lands that I could not help but wander upon them, however I do not feel that you would hurt me for trespassing. She smiled again and flicked her banner across her flanks, the more she studied him the more she noticed, his coat was sleeker, tresses thicker, his marking was different but that was beyond the point. She shifted her weight so she could prop the other one instead, harks pricked forward. So how long have you had theses lands for? If you don’t mind me asking could you also tell me a bit about yourself?
She watched as he stomped his hoof into the ground like he thought this was a dream, it made her giggle, if you think this is a dream well you are far from it, im all real. She giggled again and then looked away for a brief moment before looking back at him, she was never at ease for long, for being alone for so long one could understand why. Cherilyn looked at him, just wanted to say that in your own land you should be able to drift off when ever you please, I mean I know what could happen if you let your guard down, but I don’t think there are too many out there right now who are looking for a fight. She nodded and tilted her crown before looking at him the right way. She stepped closer to him, not feeling that a great distance was needed, she was at ease at least with him, with others it might be a totally different story and that was quite all right with her.

The mare seemed quite at ease with him. She dipped her head respectfully, and spoke freely to him. He liked mares that felt comfortable around him. Perhaps his relationship with this mare might grow into friendship, or, if he was lucky, even more.
He almost forgot her question in his dreamlike state, and then as soon as he tried to remove himself from his dream, she spoke again. She said it was real, so it must be. A few seconds later, she swayed her way toward him, closing in the gap. He couldn’t help himself, he took in a deep breath of air, inhaling her scent. All animals had a unique scent, though some were harder to trace than others. He’d always preferred the scent of mares, for even when not in season, they seemed to smell sweeter than a stallion would.
The world around him carried on as it had before his nap, much to his pleasure. He didn’t really take time to absorb the beauty of nature, but it was still a sort of comfort to him. One couldn’t really be happy in an environment that wasn’t also cheerful. So, whether he realized it or not, when the birds sang, his heart sang. When the storms brewed, his own moods grew more sultry.
His golden opts met hers as he nodded in agreement at her words. It was true that he wasn’t in grave danger at the moment, but even a peaceful stallion arriving on his land could be seen as a threat. First questions first. I’ve had this land for maybe a month now, not that long, really. As for telling you about me, well…I think that’s just something you’ll have to learn on your own.
Telesphoros grinned comically at her, his eyes sparkling with playful jest. Oh, he’d tell her about himself if she really wanted to know, but if he remained mysterious, she might just have to stick around long enough to find out more. And as for you, mystery lady, I don’t think I caught your name. |
[/color] He gave her a smile, knowing full and well that she hadn’t stated her name yet. But surely she couldn’t expect him to divulge more information when she hadn’t yet stated her own name. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
