Call me Captain
---> The snow crept further and further up the steeds legs as he trod his way through the snow tortured land. The wind lashed at his dappled torso, his long white tail lashed behind him. It was a treacherous journey to the top of one of these mountains yet Amir was already halfway up. He was young and strong, athletic too. Which made his journey much easier on his joints and muscles. He knew he'd have to be fit and strong to live here. And if he decided to claim this land then his herd mates would have to be fit also. Maybe the young and old should stay at the bottom? He thought to himself. He shook his head, no he was getting ahead of himself now. But that was his dream. To have a thriving herd, not particularly bigger than the rest but thriving and fit. He wanted it to be safe. That was the main thing, a safe haven for himself and the other herd members, young, old and everyone in between. Amir raised his head, his eyes scanned the territory. Finally the steep incline had eased up and his limbs moved much easier through the snow. He was nearing the top, at least the ridge before the peak. That would do him just nicely. The stallion stopped when he reached the ridge, halting for a moment to catch his breath.
--> After a brief moment the stallion turned around to look over the ridge, looking down to where his journey had been. He smiled, his tracks had already been covered by the light snow that still fell from the sky. It was a good job he liked snow, wasn't it? His eyes lit up as he scanned his land. It was a very big area, he could barely see the last peak which ended off on the horizon on both sides around him. Each peak seemed to be more covered with snow than the next. His forelock draped over his eyes, acting as a barricade against the snow, even though now it was blowing behind him. Amir took a deep inhalation of air. No equine scents even met his nose, not even any other creatures. Which also meant no predators which was a bonus. And so after momentary thinking Amir decided this would be the place he would start his home.
--> Lifting himself onto his back legs the stallion pawed at the sky with his fore feet. His dappled palomino body hovered in the atmosphere as he roared his message to anyone who could hear him. "I, Amir claim these lands, Algific Range, as my own. Anyone who has an issue can take it up with me." His vocal chords released the words, as loud as he could. The stallion then proceeded to drop his forelegs and landed back on the snowy ridge. He stood proudly, giving one more quick glance over the lands he had claimed. Then without another glance he turned and moved on to explore the rest of these lands. He would find the best places, where the caves were most plentiful. He had already seen one scattered around, but he was sure he had passed an area of these ranges with about four in one place. That would be a perfect place to stay. Like a den of wolves, but a cave of horses instead. He liked that thought. A smile crawled onto his smoky grey muzzle. He was a lead stallion now. Now to find some mares to carry out his prosperity.ooc:
