Name: Scientia Pronunciation: sigh-in-tee-ah Alias: Scia s-EYE-uh Age: Immortal Breed: Paso Fino Appearance: Sleek and trim, Scientia can easily be the equine equivalent of a sea lion. She is far from dainty in appearance, for her body is actually quite thick, but she still appears in some ways delicate. Maybe it's the soft, curious look her electric blue eyes hold. Her coat coloring is called Smokey Black Sabino, but she doesn't appear black. Her base coat is a seal brown splattered with paint markings and dapples. Her mane and tail are of a soft buttermilk, streaked with black and white stripes. The tresses are thick and almost always seem to be drenched in water. On particularly hot days, the locks will dry out enough to be considered damp. Despite always being wet, they move in the wind and feel like normal hair with the exception of always being cold. She moves with a grace that is unnatural, for her breed is known for their smooth, fluent, flashy gaits.
As her Greater Form, Scientia takes upon the appearance of a fox. Although, this is not your typical foot tall canine. Her Greater Form is about the size of an average-sized Timber Wolf. The fox has a fur type similar to that of a Border Collie's. Her fur drapes over her form, which is lithe and thin, complete with great flexibility. It isn't long, more of a length between medium and short. Her tail isn't really the typical bushy fox tail. Instead it seems to literally be an extension of her spine. Her ears are rather large and wide at the base, tapering to a sharp point with furry tufts at the end. Her fur is of the purest silver, darkening at her points and splattered by black flecks. There are white tribal markings around her ankles and eyes that swirl into each other like waves. They seem to have a gentle glow about them. Her eyes are not marked by a pupil, the whole iris a single drop of electric blue, which also glow faintly. She does have sclera, though, the "white of the eye."
Her Mythological Form is that of the Kitsune. Kitsune typically are white with sharply colored eyes. Scientia is no different. Her Kitsune form is of the most pristine white, unmarked except for soft blue tattoos that cross over her eyes, which are exactly like they appear in her Great Form: without a pupil, the iris being a glowing, sharp electric blue, and sclera. A Kitsune can have as many as nine tails that depict the being's intelligence, power, and magical ability. The more tails a Kitsune has, the more powerful/intelligent it is. Scientia actually has eight tails in total, though she chooses to display only 5 at a time. Each tail is long and slim, and can move on its own and even grasp objects at times. In her Kitsune form, Scientia always seems to be surround in a faint mist that hovers around her legs and tails. It is this mist, once enhanced and laced with magic, that allows Scientia to determine how many tails she wishes to display in full view.
Physical Abnormalities: Major: She does not have actual hair, but rather smooth, sleek skin like a sea lion's. It's always cold to the touch. Minor: Her mane and tail always seemed to be dripping with water, but they still move and feel like a normal mane would. In climates that are particularly dry, her mane and tail dry up considerably, remain only slightly damp. Element: Water Talents: Enhanced Intelligence and Enhanced Stamina Powers: Omniscience, Mind Control, Telepathy, Precognition, Telekinesis, Waterbreathing Controls: Weather, Life Common Form: Marine Animals. Particularly attached to sea lions and dolphins. NOT seals Greater Form: Silver Fox marked with Tattoos. Mythological Form: The Mythological Kitsune. Personality: Scientia is the odd ball of the Gods. She isn't all that into her powers and immortality. She's the god who is fascinated by mortals and spend more time among them than she does with her immortal companions. She even goes as far as to fancy herself one day giving up her powers to become mortal. Scientia is one who does not like to flaunt her powers, but she is the one who likes to transform into her lesser and greater forms the most out of all the Gods.
Like her sea lion and dolphin counterparts, Scientia is mostly playful and curious; a friendly soul. She's the type that the saying "curiosity killed the cat" fits the best. She is probably the God most willing to hand out gifts. But like the calm stream that suddenly turns into rapids, Scientia can be a bit moody at times and change at the drop of a hat. She's fascinated with foals and how mortals can perform such a miracle. It's the main reason she chose to become the God of Water. She knew that the God of Water was in charge of Life, and that she was unable to have children of her own in exchange for her powers. So by controlling life, she in a way, compensates for her lack of ability to carry a foal.
